Whether you are traveling alone, with a group, on a mission trip or are in the adoption process, we have a place for you to call home while you are in Port-au-Prince. The guesthouse is a safe, beautiful home that is conveniently located close to the Port-au-Prince airport in Tabarre, minutes from the US Embassy in Port-au-Prince and in close proximity to all of our partner orphanages.

The guesthouse is designed to provide a safe and comfortable home away from home for our adoptive families traveling to Haiti to visit their children, attend appointments at the US Embassy compound and stay for the referral-bonding trip.

The guesthouse is available for teams traveling to Haiti to serve the people of this beautiful country.

Services and Amenities

The guesthouse has 3 bedrooms and sleeps up to 18 individuals at a time. The rooms are set up as gender specific dormitory style rooms with bunk beds. Linens and towels are provided to all our guests. Fans and mosquito nets will be available to ensure a comfortable stay. Some of the additional amenities include the following:

Breakfast and dinner are included with each reservation. You will enjoy Haitian & American meals cooked by an experienced cook who has worked with American mission teams and is experienced in making safe food for American travelers.

Two options for lunch are available. You can request a bag lunch for an additional $8 or a full Haitian meal to be eaten at the guesthouse for an additional $10. We will also allow our guests to invite others to eat a meal at the guesthouse for an additional $10 per person.

Costs

$55/night for adults
$30/night for children 11 years old and older
$20/night for children 4 years old and older
$10/night for children under 4 years old
*Nightly rate includes breakfast and dinner.

Transportation

America World can arrange transportation for our guests for an additional charge (varies per size of group and distance traveling). Children are not charged for transportation. Round-trip transfers to and from the Port-au-Prince airport are provided for our guest for $40 per guest.

Translators

America World works with several experienced translators that are available to accompany our guests on day trips or at the guesthouse for an additional charge.
