60% refundable if family withdraws 4 weeks or less after agreement date.
40% refundable if family withdraws between 4 to 8 weeks after agreement date.
No refund will be issued after 8 weeks.

Travel Fee
Nonrefundable if family travels and at the discretion of the supervisor if family withdraws before traveling.

Post Adoption Deposit
100% refunded after the submission of the final post placement report if all required reports are sent in on time. If a report is not submitted, or not submitted on time, deposit money is retained by AWAA.

Home Study Fee
90% refundable before attendance of a first visit (including orientation). After attendance of first visit refund for fees are at the discretion of the Social Service Director.

Post Adoption Administrative Fee

Post Adoption Report Prepayment Fee
100% refunded if a family withdraws prior to adoption placement.

REFUND NOTE: If a family fails to properly disclose information or in any way puts the agency and its interests at risk, America World retains the right to terminate their adoption process, including the home study, without providing any refund. If a family decides to return to America World within 18 months of withdrawal, the program transfer policy then applies. The family's withdrawal date will be used when determining any transfer credits granted. Any exception to this policy needs to be reviewed and decided upon by Executive Management.

Transfer Policy

The following is applicable for families who transfers from one country program to another or for a family who decides to return to America World after 18 months of a previous withdrawal. The family's withdrawal date will be used when determining any transfer credits granted.

Application Fee
100% Transferable; if application is more than 6 months old family must complete a new application.

Initial Program Fee
100% refundable if family transfers within 8 weeks of agreement date
50% refundable if family transfers within 8 weeks to 6 months after agreement date.
No transfer credit will be issued after 6 months of agreement date

Second Program Fee
75% credit if transfer occurs within 6 months of dossier submission date and prior to referral acceptance or travel invitation.
50% credit if transfer occurs after 6 months have elapsed from dossier submission date and prior to referral acceptance or travel invitation.
No credit if transfer occurs after referral acceptance or travel invitation.

Home Study Fee
