The mission department of America World Adoption exists as an adoption advocacy ministry that partners with international orphanages in sending out teams of short-term missionaries with the goal of providing long term care to vulnerable children.
We invite any believer in Christ who shares a passion for mission work and caring for orphaned and vulnerable children to join us on the mission field. After all, crossing global and cultural boundaries to spread the gospel and extend the love of Christ is the literal fulfillment of the scriptural commands to "go ye" (Matthew 28:19) and to "visit the fatherless and widows"(James 1:27). These were commands given to the whole church.

The Christian music artist, Mercy Me, has a song entitled "Won't You Be My Love" (you should listen to it!) which speaks of how God demonstrates His love to this world through His own people – His Church. We are His "voice calling", His "hands healing" and His "feet walking into a broken world." Consider this in light of Christ's own words in John 14:18, "I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you." What better way for Christ to go unto the Fatherless, but by the hands and feet of His own children? We firmly believe this was His plan for reaching the whole world with the gospel of Christ.

This is why the Storyteller Missions Department of America World Adoption exists. We, the Church, have been called to tell His Story by reaching into their stories. We've been called to leave our comforts and conveniences, take up a cross, and tell the story of hope, redemption, healing and love. Storyteller Missions exists to help the Church fulfill this great calling. It is the place where your story collides with theirs to tell the Greatest Story of all -- HIS story.
